Silent Builds Guide — Slay the Spire 2

Sly Discard

Shiv Spam Build

The Shiv build revolves around generating and playing many 0-cost Shiv attacks per turn. Shivs are weak individually, but relics and powers make them scale exponentially.

Core Strategy

1. Generate Shivs with Blade Dance, Cloak and Dagger

2. Increase Shiv damage with Accuracy power

3. Get relics that trigger on attack plays (Kunai, Ornamental Fan)

4. Use Knife Tap to replay all Shivs from Exhaust pile

5. Gain Block with Afterimage (1 Block per card played)

Win Condition

Play 10-20 Shivs per turn for massive damage. Each Shiv triggers relic effects (Dexterity, Block, Energy). Finisher deals 6 damage per attack played.

Example Turn: Blade Dance (3 Shivs) → Play 3 Shivs → Knife Tap (replay 3 Shivs) → Finisher (36 damage)

Poison Build

Poison builds apply debuff stacks that deal damage at the end of each enemy turn. Excellent for long fights (elites, bosses) where poison has time to scale.

Core Strategy

1. Apply poison early with Noxious Fumes, Deadly Poison, Snakebite

2. Double poison with Catalyst (can use multiple times)

3. Gain Block equal to poison with Mirage

4. Use Corpse Explosion for burst damage based on poison

5. Focus on defense while poison does the work

Win Condition

Stack 20-50+ poison on enemies. Poison triggers every turn automatically. Catalyst doubles it exponentially (10 → 20 → 40 → 80).

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best Silent build in Slay the Spire 2?

Shiv builds are the most consistent due to common card availability. Poison builds excel against bosses. Sly builds have the highest ceiling but are harder to assemble.

Can you mix Shiv and Poison builds?

Not recommended. They require different card pools and relics. Mixing them dilutes both strategies. Commit to one archetype.

How do I know which build to go for?

Follow the cards you're offered. If you get Blade Dance + Accuracy early, go Shiv. If you get Noxious Fumes + Catalyst, go Poison. If you get Master Planner, go Sly.

Is Silent good for beginners?

Yes. Shiv and Poison builds are straightforward. Sly builds are advanced. Start with Shiv spam for easiest learning curve.
