Howl from Beyond

IroncladUncommonAttack

Cost: 3 Energy

Deal 16 damage to ALL enemies.
At the start of your turn, plays from the Exhaust Pile.

How It Works

Howl from Beyond is one of the most powerful uncommon cards in Slay the Spire 2. After you play it once for 3 energy, it automatically replays itself from your exhaust pile at the start of every subsequent turn — giving you free 16 AoE damage for the rest of combat.

This makes it exceptional value in multi-enemy fights and a cornerstone of exhaust-based Ironclad builds. The card essentially pays for itself after 2-3 turns and becomes pure profit afterward.

Strategy Tips

▸Pay 3 energy once, get free 16 AoE damage every turn for the rest of combat — one of the best value cards in the game.
▸Howl from Beyond plays automatically at the start of your turn, so you don't need to draw it after the first use.
▸Pairs exceptionally well with Strength scaling — each point of Strength adds 1 damage to every Howl proc.
▸Essential for exhaust-focused builds — it's both a payoff and an enabler for exhaust synergies.
▸Strong against multi-enemy encounters (Act 2 elites, hallway fights with 3+ enemies).
▸Weak in single-target boss fights unless you have strong Strength scaling.
